The Roadblock
Founder & CEO, Javier Bustamante, came to PARABLE with a dream of honoring his father’s heritage and roots in South America. With nothing but a business plan and a truckload of passion, Javier entrusted PARABLE to help set the vision for a brand that aimed to change the coffee industry. We gratefully accepted the challenge.

Working with a start-up is like having your cake and eating it too. We had a blank slate and full range to develop the strategy, logo, identity, and website. Leaning into our people-first approach, we came to the conclusion, with Javier and his team, that our main problem to solve was baked into this question: Can those impacted by fatherlessness find hope and healing?
We had our work cut out for us. However, from the beginning, there was a strong desire and need to not just make great-tasting coffee but to bring hope to those without. ANKRRD already had a great system and product, the story simply needed to be told.
By the end of our Brand work, ANKRRD had developed a thriving Brand Operating System, a new logo & identity, and an e-commerce platform to drop-ship their product. Moreso than the deliverables, ANKRRD Coffee was prepared to impact farmers and communities in South America.
